Hi there lovelies. It’s that time again, Christmas is over and people are looking in their crystal balls and predicting what’s going to be hot hot hot for the year ahead. The folks over at Pantone have released their colour of the year for 2017, and it’s the fresh and vibrant 15-0343, also known as Greenery.
OK, British summer, I give up. I don’t know where you are or what you’re playing at, but it’s not good enough. So, I’m taking matters into my own hands, and bringing some seriously sunshine-inducing images to help you lovely lot add a touch of the tropical to your wedding day.
I don’t know about you, but this week is really feeling…January-ish. I’m either too cold outside or too hot-and-itchy-eyed from central heating, and I really miss how festive everything looked a month ago. When Christmas decorations come down, everything always just looks a little sadder – no winking lights from people’s windows as you pass, no gold-garlanded bridges or street lamps. Sigh. Thankfully though, you don’t have to be in the countdown to the holidays for things to get all twinkly at your wedding. Repeat after me: Fairylights are not just for Christmas!
So, those lovely folks at Pantone have released their colour of the year for 2016 – only this time we’ve got two colours to play with – Rose Quartz, and Serenity. I have to confess that normally I’m a bright colours and jewel tones kinda girl, but there’s something about these two whispery shades that is really rather evocative and romantic.
