Hannah & Matt | Real Wedding

A gorgeous pastel village hall wedding filled with crafty details

Crafting: The Wedding Spark
Photography: Bai and Elle Photography | Venue: Tewin Village Memorial Hall

Hannah, deputy editor at Mr & Mrs Unique, got in touch last year when her and her (now) hubby wanted help with some larger decor items for their big day. The couple were already on a crafting frenzy, with Matt making ALL the paper flowers for the day and all the embroidered placemats (!) but they felt giant 3D letters and a photobooth backdrop would be a craft project too far!

Hannah and Matt gave us free reign to design whatever we felt would work with their wedding style, so we set about designing items that would fit with their pastel colour scheme and compliment the crafts they had already embarked on.

PINWHEEL Backdrop

The backdrop was created using crepe paper streamers and paper pinwheels, all in pastel colours to compliment their big day. This helped to add a bit of colour and interest in the side room of their venue and, along with the props Hannah & Matt had created,  came together to create their very own wedding photobooth.

3D Letters

Hannah & Matt wanted to make the 3D letters the focal point of the day. They were to be featured behind the top table on the stage, so we wanted to ensure they were as striking as possible. The letters were handmade by us, along with all the paper flowers that adorned them. The & was sprayed gold and covered completely in gold glitter which made them really stand out on stage.

Pom-poms

Lastly we dressed the stage with large pastel tissue paper pom-poms and created a mini chandelier of pom-poms using the hanging wheel from the village hall, this helped to add more colour to the room.

We were so pleased with how well it all came together and how perfectly it complimented the rest of the wedding decor. Their wedding was a pastel dream!

A big thanks to Hannah and Matt for letting us play a part in their day, we had a blast!
