A blue and yellow Mexico inspired styled shoot
Co-ordination, crafting & styling: The Wedding Spark

Mexico is such a rich source of inspiration for weddings – from fabulous Frida Kahlo-esque florals and fashion to all-out fiestas – when you think Mexico, you think of a riot of colour and vibrancy. So, when Frances Carlisle came to us wanting to put together a Mexican-inspired styled shoot, we jumped at the chance. Frances has spent a lot of time in Mexico, and it’s a country and a culture that remains very close to her heart. Her vision for the shoot was to evoke the colours of Mexico and some of the authenticity of a traditional Mexican wedding while keeping it modern, free flowing and easily adaptable to a UK / US bride getting married at home.
Our supplier matching service means we have a fabulous little book of suppliers and knew exactly who to get on board for this shoot. From the gorgeous lacy dress from Rock the Frock Bridal and perfect bespoke flower crown from Sophie and Luna, to the stunning calla lilies from Sprigs & Stems and the incredible cakes and tile biscuits from Ever After Wedding Cakes. We chose Comensal for our venue as we wanted to show how a restaurant could be a fantastic alternative wedding venue, especially one as fun and quirky as this place. Oh and it also meant we got to sample some exceptionally yummy food! 😉
Lastly we got crafty and created the striking blue background which would make a fantastic addition to a couple’s sweetheart table or an even better ceremony backdrop – just imagine the pictures of you saying your vows in front of it!!
